Enquiries. When you use our contact form or project analysis wizard, we collect what you provide: your name, email address, and any company name, phone number, or project details you choose to include. We use this to respond to your enquiry and scope the work you have asked about. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

Anonymous site statistics. Unless you object in Privacy settings, our own first-party endpoint counts page views and a closed list of actions such as calls to action, form starts, successful enquiries and honeypot rejections. The application writes only an approved route name, an event name, a broad referrer category and a device class. Query strings and unknown route segments are discarded. Although normal web requests include technical headers, the application never writes IP addresses or user-agent strings to this statistics store. It also stores no visitor or session IDs, form contents, email addresses or names, and cannot reconstruct an individual journey. We use these restricted counts solely to understand and improve this website. We do not use them to identify or profile anyone, make decisions about individuals, target advertising or track people across sites. We rely on our legitimate interest in aggregate site performance and the statistical-purpose exception where applicable. You can switch them off at any time, free of charge, without affecting the site.

Analytics, only if you accept. With your consent, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used: pages visited, interactions such as video plays and form starts, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser information. Clarity records how pages are used within a visit, with typed input masked. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We never enable advertising storage or ad personalisation, whatever you choose.

No Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity cookies are set unless you accept them in the privacy panel. “Reject optional tracking” refuses both services in one step while leaving cookieless anonymous statistics on, and is presented with the same prominence as “Allow enhanced analytics”. You can turn off anonymous first-party statistics in Manage settings. Because those counts contain no visitor identifier, a count already aggregated before you object cannot be linked back to you or removed individually. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings, also linked in the footer of every page.

The consent record itself is stored in your browser, not on our servers, and expires after 180 days, at which point we ask again.

Form submissions are processed by Netlify, which hosts this site and delivers enquiries to our inbox. Analytics data goes to Google (Google Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity) as our processors. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are covered by recognised safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data.

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any work that follows from it, then delete them. Individual anonymous statistical events are normally aggregated and deleted after about two hours and are automatically discarded after no more than 24 hours; hourly totals are kept for 35 days and Europe/London daily totals for 400 days. Analytics data is retained by Google and Microsoft for the limited periods set in our accounts and their published policies, after which it is deleted or aggregated.

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; ask us to restrict or object to how we use it; ask for a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent to analytics at any time without affecting anything else. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes to analytics will reset the consent banner so you can choose again.
